  • Spearco Intercoolers made by Turbonetics

In short, they don't fit very well.

Personally I had to modify the one of the metal tubes and one of the mounting brackets, source my own hose cause one of the hump hoses wes too short, use my own hose clamps cause half of the ones included don't fit, and lastly, move the charcoal box.

I bought my spearco prior to the sale to Turbonetics and had none of these problems...everything fit perfectly! You are the 2nd person I have heard a complaint such as this from and it seems that Turbonetics along with raising the price has changed some things for the worse in these kits...one important thing being that hose. It appears that things went downhill after Turbonetics took over, have you tried contacting them regarding the issues/downfalls? I don't know why they would change a product that didn't need change but they did. The other problem that I have seen is that multi-colored hoses were sent with the kit making the underhood less than attractive....

I will go ahead and be the third person to complain about the spearco intercooler. I had the exact same problems as lonchair, not to mention having to wait two months for mine!!

I would also like to vent about the instructions. The intercooler kit came with poorly photocopied pictures and illustrations that were referenced in the text. Made installing the lower radiator hose/tube very difficult as I had to do it twice to get a good fit.

But it does perform well, I like it a lot now that it is installed.
