I got a set of dual exhuast Borla mufflers. Are these worth putting on? Just was wonder to convert my single to a dual for the looks only? But I know about the re route of fuel lines of my 85 and convert to single pump! Could someone direct me to that forum on how to put in tank pump convert from dual pumps? Yhanks and you guys a have a happy new year!
the comp-prep has a Borla exhaust system, sounds OK, and great if you have salt on the roads. however, I'm pulling mine off- it has the "turbo" tips, or whatever they are called, and it has 4 of them!!
I'll be running a single 3inch I have in the garage untill I get hy hands on a good stock setup.

Hey do a search for gas tank. this was just explained a few days agao and then search in the exhuast section for cheap exhaust. i wrote a nice description of whats where and how to change. Its not hard and i like the look of duals. better than the single rusted pipe i had. lol
I have a borla 3" that dumps before the axle. It has just a little drum sound to it but I have been told by a few that it sounds very good. Not to loud, you can hear the turbo spool and the engine Grind.
I had it over the axle for a while and it was very quiet compared to most mufflers.
Single for me is better.
I also ran new lines for the fuel before doing the duel Mac for a while. Stick it on the jack stand and look at it. Thats the best information I could give you.
I like the sound of Borlas personally. They have a nice throaty sound and are very free-flowing mufflers. I don't really care for the tips that come on their cat-backs though.

I have the ones with dual tips on each side! They look a little cheesey to me but think they would look better with the stainless tip like the Foxbody LX's had.

I have the same setup-
but before you cut them off, it might be worth researching what the complete stainless exhaust setup would sell for before you remove the tips.

Complete Borla systems usually are pretty pricey. I bought my last set of Borla mufflers off of someone at a swap meet and paid $180 (which was a deal at the time) just for the pair of mufflers. Just looking at some prices off the net, a full catback goes for $550-650.
I got my muffler off ebay for $69 +$12 shipping brand new. 3" in out and offset both ends. Love it. 3" down and back stainless pipe off ebay and bends cost another $45.
I have the Borla XS, 3 inch down w/dual 2.5 tails. There is a slight drone at highway speed. Nothing bad mind you but I definately do not like that sound. I had a Dynomax Ultraflo on which did the same thing. I have yet to find anything I like as well as The Flowmaster when it comes to sound.
Duhhh!!!! Why dont ya put a 5.0 in that car George???
On my 86 I have 2 1/2 from the turbo to a high flow cat back through two two chamber flowmasters and the stock stainless duals it sounds good and is not too loud. You can really hear the turbo spool too. Flowmasters are the way to go. They tuck nice too.
Honestly I will take the borla sound over the Mac sound. If borla had a 3" over the axel set up I would have gone that way. Some one in KY has my old borla set up.
