I've broken the yoke that connects the steering wheel to the rack & pinion. Checked with Ford and part is no longer made. Checked with Sacramento Mustangs and they couldn't find one either. Any Ideas ??????????
I think your referring to the "rag joint". Flaming River makes a sweet replacement. I personally havent had any experience with it but I know many people are using it.

Currently without a SVO or Mustang.
Mustangs I have Owned: 79 Cobra 2.3 Turbo, 88 LX 5.0 Notchback, 86 SVO 2R.

The Flaming River unit is a very good replacement. The cheapest route would be to go to a junk yard and get a rag joint off of a Mustang GT, Thunderbird, or Cougar. They all will fit an SVO.
They are also made out of better material than the urethane that the SVO part was made out of.
Also some of the parts houses have a help section with a rag joint replacement piece that you can put into your joint.
