There may be a "Mustangs Across America" type caravan being sponsored by the MCA since it is a MCA anniversary event. I don't know this for a fact but am only guessing. If they do you may be able to tag along as they usually have support set up along the way. Let them do the planning for hotels, rest stops, and repair shops?

Phoenix, AZ: Mustangs Across America Inc. is proud to announce an all new website for Mustang news, www.TheMustangNews.com. Known for major cross-country driving events tied to Mustang anniversary celebrations and other significant shows since 1994, Mustangs Across America Inc. has been part of the Mustang hobby for over 12 years. Our events have been covered in Mustangs Monthly, Mustang and Fords magazine, Mustang Times and most recently a one-hour documentary aired on The Travel Channel.
Relative to providing news to the Mustang hobby as a media outlet, Mustangs Across America has been working up to this point for over 12 years with various Mustang news related publications and websites. Now the larger goal has been met, launching an exciting full fledged news outlet dedicated to bringing relevant, honest, and
balanced news and information about the Ford Mustang. Showcased will be the people
who own the cars and the organizations who promote the restoration, customization,
and enjoyment of the vehicles. "Our goal is to illuminate the Ford and Mustang
enthusiast to the many products, event opportunities, and relevant news that affects
their chosen hobby," says Sam Haymart, Editor in Chief, www.TheMustangNews.com . "We
have been producing Mustang and Ford news for many years, now we finally have the
appropriate forum in which to present it." Mustangs Across America plans to offer
news on it's own site as well as provide exclusive news services to other media
outlets both online and printed.Last edited by Gator; 01-23-2006, 09:05 PM.

Now the dates are a bit earlier I should have no problem getting there. Ill make the run probably the same as I did in 99 (except I wont have any dead weight ) leave Olympia by 12noon on Weds and I should be there about 6am on friday morn
unless I have to detour through Memphis to drop my wifey off.
