  • 2005 Bullitt Riims Mounted

I mounted a set of 2005 Bullitt rims yesterday. Everything mounted ok except for the center cap. The grease cap need to be flattened a little and the center cap needed some filing with a dremel. The tires are 235/45/17 Pilot Sport PS2's. I'm still trying to get used to the low profile tires but the rims look better then the originals IMO. I will probably install some Ford Motorsport "B" springs to settle it down a little.

They look great. I'll be adding those to my 85. Are they new or used? How much?

The rims were $279 + shipping on evil-bay. They are take-off's but basically brand new. The tires were $750 from Costco which is actually quite a deal on those tires. No rubbing yet, and from the looks of things 245/45/17's would work as well (at least the PS2's)

That looks stellar on a 1E car. There s/b minimal rubbing, if any, when lowered. I dig it.

Due to the favorable offset on the 05 wheels, I'm guessing well be seeing quite a few SVO's running the 05 wheels.

Those do look good on a silver car --
I had planned to put a set on my silver car, but they got too popular, and I won't do anything that's 'popular'
I have to have something that's different --

I just bought a set of wheels for my 1C, and its something I don't think I've ever seen on a SVO --

I'll probably make everyone wait til reunion to see them

Yea, I'd like something more unique but for the price it was hard to pass up . Besides, I just didn't like the stock wheels on a silver car. I had been looking around for a set of silver/grey Ronal R9's but are hard to find and more expensive then gold. I really like the one-off torque thrusts on Rich's car but I just don't have those kind of connections.

Rich, if you want to switch just let me know.

Looks great, especially with the new paint job. Can't wait to see them in person!

I don't want to hijack TheViking's thread, so leave me alone --you never know, I might accidentally post a pic of the wheels before then. If not, you just gotta wait

They certainly arent painted -- well -- the faces aren't painted.

Well that has made me make my final desicion. I'm going to get a set of LX wheels in silver. Because they're not that popular. Then the only ones around will be Eric's, G. Boy, and mine! Hey Eric you want to sell your wheels? Rick
