Got a quick question, on the SVOs that had the biplane delete was the spoiler painted gray like the trim =) or was it the same color as the rest of the body? also.. anyone have the color code for the trim?

a bi-wing delete SVO utilized a standard Mustang single lower spoiler.Originally posted by ediii
Did the bi-plane delete include or require anything else? And was it available on the 84?
In 1984, the bi-wing delete option was NOT available. It's a VERY rare option for 85' (more than likely, all 6 were 85.5 models) - so they're usually seen more on 86' models (less than 300 of them).

Biwing delete option was available in 84. I know because I went down the option list when I ordered mine in 3/84. Were any sold? Don't know. What color? Don't know. Have I seen one? Maybe in 84/85.
I do believe I ran across a spoiler once at Carlise. It was labeled with an engineering # E4ZX- and it was painted some type of black.84 SVO 1 owner, 02 S.Crew, 69 Mustang, 85 McLaren

Thank guys,
I just got an 84 with a body colored GT spoiler. I plan to autox the car. If the bi-wing delete was available in 84, and didn't require anything else, I can run it this way and save a few bucks and some weight. I do need a stock air box though. The car has a K & N cone type filter on it. If anybody has one drop me a line.

Actually the single spoiler is very heavy as compared to the SVO lower half. The single lower probably weighs as much as both the upper and lower SVO wing together. Remember, this was the first time Ford used this material and plastic for light weight.
I've carried both around a few times and it is very noticable!84 SVO 1 owner, 02 S.Crew, 69 Mustang, 85 McLaren
