  • Exhuast finally done

Well in the last two weeks I finally got motivated to fab up my custom turbo outlet, dump tube and downpipe arrangement after the purchase of my FMIC kit. I utilized a T3 flange to a Napa 3" tight bend pipe with V-band ring to a SAC DP with the stock ball socket cut off with a V-band ring welded on for the exhaust to the cat back dynomax system that's been on for years. Then I fabbed up a 1" down tube off the Tial WG flange straight down between the DP and the tranny. I coated them all with Eastwood's SS header paint then wrapped them with some DEI header wrap to keep the temps down, plus later you probably won't be able see the inevatible corrosion. It smoked pretty bad for about 10 minutes but once I drove it and got it up to operating temps the smoke stopped coming from the wrap. Now all I need to do is get some more wrap to continue where I had to cut off the original wrap to clear the allen bolts for the Rod's header, oh and get a full 3" cat back installed.

Well from the Sacremento Mustang downpipe back its a stock 2 1/4" system with dynomax mufflers. I definatly has a throatier sound than the stock system now.

How are you keeping the wrap on at the end?
