  • coil over w/18x9 rims? any rubbing?

im still getting the last parts together for my sn95 brake set up and im also going to add a set of bilsteins with a a MM coil over kit . ive been doing some reasrch on other fourms and havnt found a clear answer. im going to be using 18x9 stage 3 roush wheels. im conserned tthat the inner side of my rim will rub on the coil over spring. does any one have any experince with this?? im i going to need a shorter coilover spring?what else can i do?

    shorter axles --
That's the only way, to get the wheel off the outter fender,
and at that, you have to watch wheel rub on the springs (especially with coil-overs)

The fox's we are running were just not setup for that wide a wheel.

there are 2 different style spindles.. 94-95 will keep the wheel closer, the 95-up will keep the wheel about a inch farther out.

I've got the full MM max kit with coil overs using 96 Cobra spindles / brakes on my 92 coupe. The MM K member moves the wheels about 3/4" ( ? ) forward. I've got the 17 x 9 R wheels and they rub in the front by the bumper cover lower extensions. I've rolled the lips on the fenders with no inner plastic wheel wells and they seem to clear. This is just an empty shell with no engine or drivetrain at this point so I know I'll have to make some adjustments. I'm just guessing, and it depends on your tire sidewall height of course, but it sounds like you'll be pretty close to rubbing to me.

Ken you’re growing on me. We’re two peas in a pod? We’ve done the same thing. But I have ’03 cobras.
