Hmmm, I was just about to sign up with my LX, but with a 110 mph limit, I don't know now.

Maybe I'm confused or maybe it's a typo but passengers are only allowed in the D class? I think that should be the A class? I've known the MCA to mess up on these kind of things before. More so in the last few years since "The changing of the guard" old school guys retired and moved on.

Ken -- it's listed in 2 different places on the sheets I have. -- D is the only class allowing passengers.

Ken, I just got my info packet & it said the samething.. Passengers MUST be 18 or they are not allowed to ride also.. NO KIDS.. Of the 6 sesions that there are in a day, you will be able to run in the D class if you are to have a passenger.. Then return to your class on the next sesion.. They are scheduled to be 20 min long secions..

Bud, they state that the corse in a 17 turn "tight corners" with no high speed banked corners.. They state that it will be hard to run those speeds in each class.. Again that is what they are saying, I'm just telling you what they say.. Not what is possiable to do.. They also stated that they will enforce the speedlimits with timing devices & radar.. Take it as you wish..

Eric, I do believe that you have them listed in the wrong order..

            A-Most 110 mph
            B-Experienced 100 mph
            C-Some experience 90 mph
            D-No experience 80 mph

I'm hoping to get into the C class.. I'll have only a few events under my belt by then..

First I need to check my helmet for it's rating. It is several years old and is probably out of spec. Also I won't probably be running any of mine. It's going to take quite some effort for me just to get all 4 of mine over there, then set up, and then get them back home. I'd like to hitch a ride on the track with somebody?

The main straight is 1595 feet, I could be over 110 mph pretty easy. Gotta love ins. regulations. If I am driving from TX, I want to have fun. 6 sessions per day? I like that.

Mike, are you sure that you can keep that red one UNDER 80 mph??

Ken, If that RED hurts your eyes, then I'm sure that there are plenty of people (me included) that you can hitch a ride in..

If I go I would be more than happy to give a ride.

                        Got mine

I got my form from MCA last night. Pretty glad it came, registration was not easy. I'm on Saturday. Do we have a list here of which guys signed up for what days?

On a funny note. I have zero track time in any RWD car, that goes for my SVO. All my time has been in my various ACRs over the years. This ought to be interesting. With the cost of the Safer Barriers at $400 for a 25' section, I'll be glad I'm in the D group.,

Plus you need a bar/cage to run in B&A, which I don't have (yet) and the Mrs. will be with me too which precludes Group C.

What are are the requirements for Group A? MCA's website is lacking. I run is the fastest groups in other clubs but I want to make sure they do not have anything out of the ordinary. I have a roll bar, harnesses, 2005 helmet.

I'd be honored to ride with you Mike. I'll also ride with anybody else who has an empty passenger seat and can stand me for the duration. I grew up here in the south for the most part and survived many, many close calls that I should've been killed. I really don't scare at all. After flying through the air at a distance of about 100 yards and 50 feet off the ground at 120+MPH in a 4 door 62 Chevy Belair ( or Impala don't know for sure ) at 2:00AM and missing a hardware store by 6" at age 15 not too much bothers me... I wasn't driving either! Kinda like the Dukes of Hazard but in a 4 door two ton land yacht. It was up in the mountains of North Georgia in a little town called Ellijay back about 1973. We were parallel parked on the driver's side so close you couldn't open the door(s). I'll admit I lost bladder control for about a 1/2 of a second... Hijack off now!
