  • Has anyone used one of these?

I was just wondering if anyone has used one of these 3" elbow's http://www.turboford.org/sponsors/rod.htm
I did not find it under the product reviews. Will this elbow work with the stock t-3 on my 84 svo? Also if I get one of these elbows do I really need a pre-made down pipe like this one

The only advantage I can see it the flange to the stock outlet. My muffler shop can make me a 3" down pipe. What do you guys think? Thanks X

Both of those are very nice. I haven't used one but they should fit very nicely. If you're going to go with 3" you should go from the turbo all the way back. I'd run a cam grind with a lot of lift, as the biggest advantage to the 3' exhaust is that your rpm's will climb at a faster rate. Go for it!

I believe 40bob.com makes a modified 3" elbow which keeps the stock wastegate.

WOW thanks guys!!! I never gave the waste gate a thought with the one elbow. I was ready to get it. I want to keep my internal waste gate. I looked at the 40 bob elbow. I take it the 40 bob allows me to use my internal waste gate?? It looks like it. Has anybody used one of his before? If I use the stinger dp, they have to cut of the flange to weld it to the elbow right? If so how does a guy pull his exhaust if he needs to? Seems to me it would be one piece all the way to where the cat bolts in?? I am thinking right here? Thanks X

Personally, I would add a flange to the elbow. I haven't used it but have bought several other items from Bob and was always very happy with his work.
