Heys guys, im ready to just take a saw zaw to this damn lower IC bracket, broke my oil feed line trying to get the bolts off. Is there an easy way to get this damn thing off??? My svo is sitting in my buddies garage all takin apart and now he wants its out asap and i cant figure out how to get this thing off, I'm going crazy

awsome thanks for the info Mike you da man, one more question. the turbo is to close the the bracket to fit a socket or a wrench in the get the 3 bolts off on the bracket is there an easy method, or should i just hack the bracket apart???

You can work a scocket in there, it's going to take some manuvering. I also used a 17mm 12pt. wrench, lots of penetration oil, and tapping the area with a hammer to get more of the oil to seep in the threads. This is where those expensive Mac tools pay for themselves. I used a lot of tools and I always called it a recipercating saw, I just learned a few weeks ago that people call it a saw zaw, but I call a flare wrench a line wrench too. Keep working on it, and leave the saw out of the picture, that could really do some damage. If you think the exhaust manifold is hard wait til you want to replace the heater core. Good luck!
I actually did end up cutting the bracket to peices then ground down a 17mm open end wrench and took out the stud with the little piece of bracket still on there.

Probably saved you lots of time I remember it was like a 4 hour job for me. Any time there is a turbo/exhaust manifold issue - I seriously contemplate removing the head 'cause i think it would be quicker that way.
