What is the casting number on the 84 85 or 86 SVO steering rack?

they are different, especially the 84, and 85..

I need to know this (any model year is fine) for a greedy reason. I can get some NEW racks for cheapo that are SVO racks... However, the owner doesn't know if SVO means produced by SVO or made for an SVO. He gave me the casting number off of one of the racks but I am WAY away from any of my SVO's to go look.

Come on, brutha... If they are the right racks, I'll cut you a sweet deal on one of them. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.

I bought one of those you are talking about for $125 I have not got it yet but I assume they are M-3504-A from the old SVO motorsports catalog.
The factory rack part# from 10/84 on is E5ZZ3L547-B hope this helps

See, I don't really know what this is. Specs are 15:1 and 2.5 turns lock to lock.

sounds like that's a 85, 85.5, 86 rack...

The 84s had a 20:1 TRW rack in them...

Well, greedy me didn't make out like I planned. The seller gave me a price for 4 racks..... he later decided he meant PER rack, not for all 4. Oh well
