  • Run w/o EGR ??

    Anyone out ther running with out the EGR hooked up? How does this affect the car? Any Problems?

    been runnig without one for about 5 years now....I wouldnt go trying to pass emission tests without it.....but I havent had a problem as far as driveablity

      I have had no adverse effects w/o an egr (ATR wastegate forces the situation) and I even passed Texas emissions w/ flying colors...I do run a 3"Catco cat though.

        I've always run mine w/o EGR. It won't pass emissions unless I disconnect the SPout connector before the test. But hey, it's worth it to keep that hot air outta my intake.

          I have passed twice now without one. I would normally run it just for teh better gas mileage . But when I swapped motors , the one on it had a broken pipe and I did not replace it. It has the inline intake so they dont come around as often , but I will replace it soon.

          They only work at part throttle when you are just cruising, so there is nothing to be gained from not having one.

          Motor is all stock with some minor port work done.
