  • Por 15

Just got done using POR 15 for the first time and I'll tell ya this is some nice stuff. I just coated a set of upper rear control arms and now I shouldn't have to worry about them rusting up on me.

This stuff was easy to use and dried/set-up pretty nice. Recommend it for those considering it. A good alternative to powder coating.

POR 15 is pretty good stuff, I use it on alotta stuff. my suspension components usually get the POR15 treatment and then i paint over it with whatever color I want. (ie: cast-blast color for my a-arms. )

But a few words of advice to ya.

Obviously you wont have issues with the parts your painting, but dont use the regular stuff for anything that sits in the sun-light ( get the UV resistant stuff for that. )

Just as the can says, get rid of the "loose" rust, then paint. I bead-blasted some stuff a while back and then used POR 15...it flaked/pealed off later.

And of course the obvious...dont get it on your skin.

            Yeah - no worries there.

Well, fortunatly the arms and 8.8 were in great shape and didn't need a lot of prep work.

I find bead blasting then spray with watter and wait a few days then paint. So far the best surface to stick to is corrosion??
