Iam in the process of trying to reconnect the factory radio in an 86 svo. The problem is, I seem to have extra wires. Did all svo's come with the amp in the top of the dash? Does anyone out there have a wiring schematic they could post or send to me? Thanks

Radio wiring

The 84/85's that had the seperate amp switch on the console - (by the fuel, fog light swithes) had a seperate amp. I don't think the 86's had a seperate amp (at least no amp switch). This might be your problem with extra wires.

only the 84s had the 3rd console/AMP switch. The 85s have the exact same radio as a 86.

My 86 had an amplifier in the center of the dash. I pulled it out when I replaced my front speakers. No amp switch of course.
