Well, I think I finally got the correct brake line kit for my SVO.
FYI, For those with early 85 models, you need the "late 84" kit. They go by build date. The Earl's site doesn't specify this.
Anyway, Since Paul is not with the company anymore, they said they're not activly pursuing the SVO market, therefore not interested in srtocking any SVO parts.
Aside from taking forever (partly my fault, partly because Paul left in the middle of our situation) they did everything they could to make it right. They are very friendly on the phone.
I'd like to encourage everyone to call them and concince them that the market is there for our cars.
Otherwise we could loose a valuable resource.
If it ain't broke... Give me some time!

    Hi

Do you mean Gyrhead or Earl's isn't persuing the SVO market anymore? Sorry I'm not sure who Paul is.
Gyrheads website has changed and it doesn't seem as easy to locate the SVO specific parts.

    Thanks,

Gyrhead isn't actively pursuing the SVO market. Paul Fisher was an employee there (it's a family run business) but left. He was behind their support for the SVO club.
I'm not sure how long Earl's will be supporting the SVO specific kits.

Got it, I wondered what was going on. I was looking on Gyrhead's web site and couldn't find the SVO parts I had found before. That's too bad!

        Thanks,

Call them up They still have some stuff in inventory. They're just concentrating on Buick GN turbo stuff.

I just ordered some parts for my SVO. It turns out the web page that I used to order the parts was an old catalog. Well they didn't carry one item anymore and the other item, fan controller relay, had gone up $11.

I asked about the SVOCA discount and was told "About the SVOCA discount, my understanding was that was from 1 year or so ago - the guy that
was our SVO guy is not with us anymore." Can't say I to happy about that. I had a long list of stuff that I was going to order from them. Now I can't find the stuff on there current website and no discount. That sucks.

Yep, it does! What other stuff do you need? Maybe we can suggest an alternate source.

I'd say with that lack of support, the BOD ought to take them off the vendors list. I noticed they're still in the members deals section.

                  No, they aren't ..
It's been on my list to do for about 2 weeks, just got round to it today.

Just like to mention that they decided to stop honoring any discounds for the club, they never informed any of us about it.
