  • problem with stock bullit wheels up front?

ok, I've got a pair of stock bullit wheels with some aftermarket 9" bullits on rear that I've had on my 88 2.3 car and now that I've got the svo ready for road duty I thought I'd toss them on the svo for a little while since I really like the way they look.

well, they wont sit flush against the rotors??

is this a common problem?? I thought these wheels fit good??

do I grind on the wheel or the rotor to get them to fit??

The ones off a 07 were tight but went on well. The come off with no problem. I didn't have to do anything. Stock 17 x 8 front and back. I would like to see some 9" on back to know they work.
Time to clean up the engine bay!

I have one on the front of mine just to rol on. It also doesnt fit flush with the rotor and rubs the fender bad in turns. 245/45/17 tires.

Stacks what you have is off a 04 or older. The o5 and up have a larger hub.

yeah, mine are off an actual 01 bullit of a friend of my dad's. I got them off him a few years ago.

dangit. so what do I have to do to get them on the car??

do I need to grind the rotor hat down like people do with the ranger rotor conversion on 4cyl mustangs??

cant really tell and I already did a "little" grinding with no effect. I cant tell if it's the rotor hat or if the inside of the wheel center is too shallow and starts bumping into the rotor.

I just wanna get them on the car so I can drive it around with them a little while as I'm hoping to swap the front stuff out for sn95 later on in the year. my balljoints are starting to get sloppy

The offset is also different. Most grind the rim and the rotor. To much off either one is not good

i think mine have wheel spacers and a small tire, like 205/45 and the car is pretty low and doesn't rub the fenders or anything. i dont have inner fenderwells but who knows.
