  • Electrical problems.....aaack...please help

I am having a problem with the SVO. I had a 20 gauge fusible link completely cook. While cooking my headlights were completely stuck on. Now that it is broken in half the headlights are once again working completely fine. If the two wires are touched together the headlights are stuck on again. I am having a problem with the headlights now though. They turn on and off fine but once they are on for a few minutes start to flicker on and off. All of the interior gauges go bright to dim at the same time. The motor and everything appear to all be working correctly. It runs fine. Please help...any past experience might be helpful.

well.. the first place to start is probably the headlight switch...

I'm scratching my head about your burned fusable link.. I'm not sure what that would be.

ok -- here is a theory -- Your headlight switch is already toasted, and has 2 leads (inside the switch) melted together.-- so the lead with the burned fusable link probably went to the marker lights. which is why the fusable link is now burned ???

    all speculation ..

I would try replacing the switch, and see if all the lights still work properly. Those switches are known to cause problems.
