stressing over mufflers

well Im looking to buy a muffler for my 85 SVO. I have the Stinger 3 inch drivers side set up that I need to put on. I think I have read every post that has to do with mufflers now, and I think Im just further confused on what to get. Ive heard good things about magnaflow, dynomax, mac, and borla. I dont really want to spend more than $70 on it so I think that puts borla outta the question. I dont mind it being loud (just not too loud) and Id like to be able to hear the turbo pretty good out the exhaust. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks, Ryan

Yes this will work, just stay w/ a strait thru muffler if possible, I just put the same exhaust but w/ a spin tech muffler. you can definately hear the turbo w/ that combo. just make sure the muffler has both sides offset to opposite ends

I'm happy with the Dynomax UltraFlow I put on the end of my Stinger system. It is a straight through design, which is what you want for performance, and sounds ok (ok is all you can hope for on this engine).

Sounds slightly better than our minivan's 3.8 liters of fury does thru the factory exhaust.. LOL

i have 2 magnaflows on my car sounds awesome and they were pretty cheap at $54 shipped each IIRC.

Mac sometimes sounds like a drum at highway speed. The drone of tone.

I have had Borla and I have a Mac now. as far as I am concerned the Borla Muffler has a much beter sound. But that is my opinion. The mac does Drone.You will hear the turbo through either.

You and everyone else will be surprised with the sound of it. I still have to run mine over the axle because I have the dump before it right now. Still quiet compared to some.
