I have not installed a external wastegate on an svo, hoever it can only work better assuming that it is a quality unit such as a Tial or hks. My friend put one on his mitsubishi eclipse (Tial 38mm) and the boost would stay rock steady at whatever he set the boost controller to. Internal wastegates tend to not stay sealed at higher boost levels and with a quality boost gauge this is very easy to notice. If your car is stock expect power gains to be minimal, but if you have a t3/t4 .57 trim and all the supporting mods an external wastegate could mean 50hp. The only reason production cars come with internal wastegates is because they're cheap to produce. IMO if you have the money (which is why I don't have one) do it!60% of the time it works every time

My car has a T3/T4, 3inch DP, modified Tiny Avenger intake, 155lph fuel pump, 95 5.0 TB, and the suspension mods. My boost does not stay steady so i would LOVE to have my boost hit and hold. Once i get it figured out, i wana put the boost to 18PSI. its hovering around 13-15psi now so i hope that would do the trick...BULLITT #5055 (sold)
