"skid plate" at door opening?

Hey Paul, or anyone else...
How about making some nice polished aluminum or stainless covers for that area in the interior that is where the carpeting meets the door opening? Know what I'm talking about? Mine keep breaking, I think I am on my third set...tired of going to the junkyard for these stupid plastic ones... It would add a nice touch to the interior of the car as well...
Maybe someone already makes these...not sure though...
