    No fit issues. Great part.

I agree. Don't know how much of an improvement it was, though, I installed mine at the same time as my subframe connectors.

I had always wondered that as well. Being that its allready one of the strongest points on the car.

Cheaper and easier to spend a few dollars at the junkyard and install the K brace out of an 85-88 TC. It's only 2 point, but it works just fine.

I beleive the Fox body convertibles have the 4 point brace-also in a JY near you!

The convertible bracing is a very different kind of brace than the 2pt and 4pt k frame braces. It actually runs up to the core support and ties that in together with the center of the k frame. It is made of longer and much thinner tubing material.

This convertible bracing is more of a longitudinal brace, whereas the 2pt and 4 pt braces, both factory and aftermarket, are directed specifically as lateral bracing for the k member itself to reduce k member flexing under the forces of cornering.

                Since you asked...

Well now that I have a K-member as a fixture to play with (Thanks, Vince Rinner!) I may play around with a 2, 4, or 6 point lower brace. I'm thinking that tying it in to the lower core support with a small skid plate may be helpful. Some of these cars are approaching 24 years of age and many attaching points are no longer where they used to be when the cars were new.

                Switch on rant:
Long ago I would have made up some subframe connectors but the reason that I didn't is that every one out there on the market needs to be tweaked differently for each car. Most are basically 1" x 2" box tube or round tube that need to be massaged on an individual basis. Why bother buying a powdercoated part if you have to weld it in and repaint it at the welds anyways? You may as well start off yourself from scratch.
                Switch off rant.

Part of the musing over what to do included a supplemental place to hang radiator and FMIC bracketry, as well as brake ducts. Goodness knows that would save Gator a bunch of time and money replacing crank pulleys.

but is all this added bracing/weight really streetable, daily driver , or is it more a racing aplication

im all for the sub frame conectors and the strut tower brace but are the rest really nesicary for less the 250hp
