    Keyless entry

I think Scott Wigginton installed a turbo coupe keyless entry system in his SVO. You might inquire with Scott - I think he was one of the founding five members? Past Director? I'm not sure, you might ask someone whose been in this club longer. I read it somewhere!

Scott is a past director and we had an article in a newsletter about Scott's Thunderbird Keyless Entry modification. Check the links section of the site for Scott's SVO page.

I just bought the ford 3 button keyless entry allarm system from a company called powercallsirens. They do sell the instruction booklets. I will try to get mine copied for you. Send me a PM. I have found during some testing that they are not the most accurate, but it could be due to my application. I'm starting without power door locks in the vehicle.

I have to wait till better weather to install the kit, but I'll be doing a step by step with photos and post it on my site.

BTW These guys have heavey duty swiss style door actuators for a great price.

I installed a Ford kit in my 95 contour. It took several years for Ford to come out with a kit and it took me 2-3 years for me to get around to completing it, The kit was pretty universal with wiring instructions that covered all the Ford cars. A seperate manual came with it decoding all the Ford wiring for all the cars. Between the 2 it should have been easy to to fit it to a older mustang (most models follow the same color code). I'm still considering it. I sold the Contour but I could probably get the books back to copy them.

The kit had trunk release, ignition kill, door lock, door unlock, horn beep, interior light on with unlock. Not sure about flash lights on lock. It also could be programmed to close windows or other things for a programmed time period.

I got stuck at finding the horn wiring (2 wires the same color) and had to keep honking it to find it. Not something you can do 9 pm at night.
