it'll need to be removed from the car first....and remove everything from the bar as well. Then you'll be able to 'pound' it back with a sledge or put it in a vice and bend it straight.

Thanks man, you seem to know everything!

Maybe that will give me something to do over Christmas break.

ha! not hardly - but I do know enough to get me in trouble. Plus, most of us here have gone through a learning curve at some point when we started modifying cars .... just think Matt - when you're my age ... you'll have twice as much experience with cars than you do now

I hope I know as much as you. My problem is that I am too impatient to work on cars. If something goes wrong, or I cant find the right tool, or I have to go buy another stupid little part, I get mad.

            cant get it off

I am having trouble getting it off. do you take the little part of the brace of the foglights off from the bar? I am trying to get the whole bar down without any luck.

aahhh... been awhile since I took one off - let's see .... ya might want to take the fog lights off the bar first. That should give you complete access to it....

In case you are thinking about replacing that part, I believe that fog light support is the same as what was used on the 86 GT Mustang. I put a GT nose on a LX once and it required that part. It should bendback without too much trouble. I don't think it is really thick metal. I'm about 90% sure on this info. Hope it helps.

No, I wasn't going to replace it. You are right Kevin, the metal is not very thick and the sledgehammer took care of the job. Not 100% perfect, but close enough for me.

                    Thanks for the help guys.
