  • rear glass defroster

Well mine don't get hot any more the light on the switch comes on but don't work at window .Is their a way to test the grid lines or is their any other relays to look for. That would cause it not to work.If i put a meter on the plug wires on the glass what should i see.

    Thanks

you should see 12 volts at the wires if you check it iwth a meter.

if you set your meter for contunity, you should be able to touch eash side where the wires plug in (with the wires removed) and get full contunity, if you dont. then there is a break somewhere in the grid.

if you are getting 12 V to the grid, but nothing defrosts, i would check where the leads connect to the glass, maybe one of them has broken loose...

My grid is completly toasted ( I had to scrape some very ugly tint off it)

I'm not sure that paint would help me out, unless I painted the entire window!
