What year bullits?

Are they 05+? If they are, on stock height they should fit perfectly with no problem. Earlier years you may have a bit of a fitment issue.

I believe there are a few people here with 05+ bullits that are running on lowering springs. I will let them chime in on clearance issues.

I have a set of 05+ GT wheels that are the split 5 spoke variety. As of right now they do not have tires. If you are using the stock 235/55/17's, they may be a little tall for a lowered car, I am not sure. I would suggets at least 245/45/17 in the rear, maybe a 40 profile. For ease of rotation, you could have the same up front. To check tire height comparisons, check this out:

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

I myself will be running 255/40/17 in the rear and 225/45/17 in the front. I have Motorsport C springs that dropped it 1.5 inches all the way around (thanks again Vrinner). I am also interested to see if they rub since my car is lowered. Either way, I don't drive it enough to really worry if it will rub or not.

PS - you may also want to read the sticky thread "Will these Wheels fit my SVO". Very good information from past experiences.

Good luck and post pics when you get'r done.

I have '05's on mine. I'm running 235/45's as well, and it's lowered. Click on my link below in my signature and you'll see some pictures of it.

My 05 wheels are 17x8" Running 245/40 with no problems. Lowered about 2"

If they are factory bullitts then the should be 17x8. I have Michelin Pilot235/45/17's along with Motorsport B springs. There is sufficient clearance all around and the rears almost look to small if anything. I personally wouldn't go with a 235/40 since it's not necessary and it will ride somewhat rougher. It looks to me as if a 245/45 or 255/40 will clear the fender although I'm not sure about the quads.

Also keep in mind that tire sizes vary amongst manufacturers and I would check specs for the specific tires you want to buy.

Looks great, but you need to clean your panhard bar...

I have 225 45 17 up front and 235 45 17 out back. I have motorsport C springs and there are no rubbing issues.

I don't have the same wheels but I have 255/40/17's on all four corners and it's pretty low. The only time it rubs is when I'm at full lock.

thanx viking, after a quick second measurement they are 17x8 and they are ford OEM after seeing a set on this svo I was sold. I have always disliked the stock wheels but the down side to this is now I'll be putting more miles on her. LOL

If there are any SVO owners here in the Houston area I could arrange a test fit of some of the wheels from Wheel Replicas to see what works on the car. The high offset wheels are 36mm to work with the S197's...and a 44mm offset on the 10s...

just let me know...I am in pretty good with the owner...

Funny, that's my car with the stock ride height. Here's how my car looks with the B springs. Unfortunately it's now raised back up about 1/2 inch after the SN95 conversion.

@60 mph on the spedo you will be going 58.8mph. But how accurate is the spedo anyway.

A 235/45/17 ia typically has about 1/2" larger diameter then the 225/50/16. This will throw the speedometer off by about 2 mph at 60 if I remember correctly. If you use a 245/40/17 the diameter will be almost identical, or at least about as close as you can get. It's also very low profile so take a look before you buy.

Some people have used a 245/45/17 which looks better then the 235's in my opinion.

See this link. You type in the old size and the new size. It will give you your MPH speedometer differences.

Stock size to a 235/45/17 - If your Speedo is reading 60 mph, then you are actually going 61.1mph.

well I put the wheels on her today and the front caps won't go on and the 55 profile rubs some when turning so it is off with the 55's and on with the 45's:doh:

Factory front caps won't go on without an SN95 conversion. Somebody posted a link recently about an aftermaket cap that will clear. 245/45/17's fit my car without rubbing and look better then any other profile I've seen.
