personally - I've never used anything they have/offer - and don't ever plan on it. I want to support 2.3 vendors, but jeezz-louise - talk about some high pricing .. I know a bunch of people who have used Nick's stuff/services ... and they probably won't buy from him again.

If he ever comes down to the real world with his pricing and services ... then, ... maybe. Even his stock turbo rebuild pricing ... $585 + $100 core charge? yikes!

Sorry - but my personal advice, you might try looking elsewhere ...

I've got an 85 and I was looking to do something about the cat and the pre cat back set up. I looked around and by chance I found a direct fit system from the turbo up untill the after cat flange. www.car-sound.com is were I found it. It increased my power with its high flow cat and it's manderal bent tubing. I love it. It also had no problem passing SMOG. The part number is # 23363. Call them at 1-800-990-0905.

        That carsound solution...

Is that a direct factory replacement, or is the down pipe actually larger than original? I tried the site and didn't find that part number. I know the walker replacement cat is like $160-170. At that price I can only assume that it includes the down pipe, but I don't know for sure.

My '84 is having trouble passing smog and this item may put it back in the good graces of the omnipotent Environmental Protection Agency.

Darn, it really sucks having to go to a test only smog station and not being able to just pay the idiots to fix it to pass.

It cost me about $260. But it doesn't include the down pipe, it bolts rite up to the bottom of the down pipe. I'm not sure of diamiters, but it's the same as stock. The horse power gain comes from the manderal bent tubing (wich stock doesn't have) and the high flow cat (wich stock doesn't have). You keep just the perfect amount of back preasure to keep the turbo running at top range. Hope I helped. -Adam

                Modern Performance exhaust

Hey there, I bought Nick's "Stage 3" exhaust system, which included everything from the turbo back: 3" downpipe, 3" cat, what looks like the Dynomax welded muffler and a stainless 2 1/2" tailpipe. I have to say it's probably the only thing I've been happy with, that Nick did on my car (and he did almost everything). Although I wish he didn't use the mild steel reducers at the muffler (they're rotting off now), and it did cost me somewhere on the order of $600.00. I'll bet he pays someone else to install for him too. It's pretty loud too. Not pleasant on the highway with gears. I'm sure you can have a nice custom-bent set-up done for about half that. By the way, I'm going to have to pull Nick's $680.00 roller cam now too, after I had the car to him 3 times to fix the nasty racket the cam makes. How's that for expensive--you pay for it to go on, then you have to pay to get it off!!!
My wife says it's a sickness...what do you think?
