Vacuum hose size(s) and source

I need to replace all the vacuum hose on my '86, does anyone know what size(s) will be needed?
I've found a few sites that list silicon vacuum hose in mm size, but am unsure what our cars need.
How about sources for the hose? I am a cheapskate at heart and though I love my car I am hesitant to pay $60 for a "kit" that contains colored hose. I just want to prevent leaks.

Your best bet is to buy some hose in bulk from your local auto or hardware store. All vacuum hose is the same, unless you want silicone or colored stuff. As for what size you need, it would be best to bring a piece of each size you need off of your engine and just by so many feet of the particular size. HTH.

I agree with Ted. Just go buy it by the foot at autozone. Vacuum hose is vacuum hose. The only thing to be concerned about is if you try to use a 3/8 vacuum hose on a fuel line. Don't do that. )
