When I disasembled my stock exhaust, I pulled one of the mufflers off (fell off) and I noticed that there was a 1 5/8" reducer attached to the 2 1/4 Y pipe. This reducer was apart of the original muffler. Just wanted to share.
Wow, wished I had known about that when we were campaigning our car in G Stock solo. The car might have been a class-killer with a class-allowed catback exhaust.
