  • Clear coat or not?

Those out there with polished stock wheels how many of you put clear back on after polishing them? I am doing mine now and really don't want to do it again in 6 mos. so I got some eastwood clear wheel paint. I am just worried after sanding down to 2000 grit and polishing that the paint wont stick very well. Anyone ever do this after polishing, and those that have not will I need to polish these wheels pretty frequently?

Awe, come on !!! Some guy just told me this weekend about a clear that is practically bullet proof.

I can't remember the name of it. Crap. If it comes to me, I will post it up.

Whaha, whaha !!! { Memphis' new phrase.

I found what the guy was telling me about !!

Gotta read the whole thing, but I think they warrenty the finish underneath.

I remembered the guy telling me it was film.

Not a huge fan of Eastwoods products lately. Seems like everything I have bought has been not nearly as good as expected. I really used to like them for detail paint.

I've got 2 sets of SVO wheels: one original set which a pain in the A.. to keep clean, keep h2o stains off, dog pee etches the surface and yet the
natural metal set is my favorite for looks whereas the 2nd set on a Silver
metallic clearcoat RN 82 GT is powder clearcoated, almost resembles
the Silver metallic car paint, and is the EASIEST wheel to keep clean of all
              5 of my Mustangs.

It's a mixed bag and it seems you can't have everything with one state
              or the other....
