  • benefits of just the 3" downpipe...?

I'd want to keep it as close to stock as I can for reliablity and mileage as I've stated before.

many are looking at that stinger down pipe and/or exhaust kit.

what benefit does just the DP have on the SVO? I already know the EGT's will go down, probably quicker spool up... but does it help mileage?

I contacted the stinger guy and he said it's a slip fit design, but I'd need an adapter to go to the 2.25" stock pipes before the cat.

    what say you?

me on a budge and need mileage!

Get the dp and keep your foot out of it. if you can't do that then leave it stock.
My svo is pretty modified and i can get 18-20 city and 23-24 mpg highway. this is on 18psi and pump gas.. Add the torco , turn it up to 25+ psi and the smile gets huge but i can watch the fuel gauge move as fast as the tach moves. Worst mpg i have ever gotten was about 9 mpg. Keep in mind i have alot of mods for power and run 70Lbs injectors

sounds like it won't benefit me the way I'd like at the moment, I'll stick to stock for now. thanks
