Hey, I love the fact that Jim and guys at Motion Dynamics have come up with a downpipe that removes the cast elbow out of the T3 for us. Is there any dyno numbers on what this downpipe produces versus stock 2.25" exhaust and a 3" exhaust hanging off the stock T3 elbow? Looking at exhausts right now, but would like to see some numbers first.

I think so. For a true "no fabrication needed bolt on part", this it the only game in town. Otherwise you'd have to buy a slip-fit downpipe from Bob Lee for around a hundred bucks and also send your elbow in for modification for another hundred bucks. Then you'd have to assemble these to the turbo and have someone weld them (which isn't free either). With the MD part you pay an extra hundred up front but there is no screwing around, no core, and no third party welding. I don't know what the welding would cost but let's just say it's $50. I'd suggest that all the time you save on the installation by buying the MD part would be worth the $50.Originally posted by SVOBart View PostLittle pricey for not being stainless steel. I have one, and have a bunch of pics and a product review to write, I've been too lazy, and busy the last few weeks to do it...
I love the thing. It's easy to put on (took much less than 30 mins to install)
seals up good, and don't hang too low.
It's a very nice piece.Eric C

In true turbo ford mentality.Originally posted by SVOeric View PostA lot of stuff I see I think 'I could remake that better'
But hey it is done and he will sell them. If they were out before I did the stinger DP then I would have gone this rout regardless of the price.
Hats off Jim

Having done the research and fab work, they probably needed them at that price to see a decent ROI, as well as fund (hopefully) new projects. I'm set to get one early next year (if one isn't under the tree this year), and will tie it to the really cool 3" mandrel exhaust system I got from Troy (silversvo). With that, I should be done with the exhaust.Originally posted by SVOBart View PostLittle pricey for not being stainless steel. The flange is nice, but is is $300 nice??
