What a difference..

I wrote this in another thread.. I decided to keep mine smog legal so I found a down pipe with cat and I got a dynomax muffler with the same diameter pipe.

what a difference.. the car is so much smoother and it spools so much earlier. this all makes me believe I had a bad exhaust leak somewhere or the car really didn't like not having a cat on there.

I drove to the muffler shop, 1 mile away, with only the down pipe on...OMG...the car was SO freaking loud, but the turbo sounded incredible!!!

anyways..car is smooth, feels good, pulls good.. I like it!

Freeing up the exhaust is one of the best improvements you can make to an SVO!

even though I put a cat back on it I actually did increase pipe diamter and muffler inlet/outlet size this time and I can tell a difference.

Hey look at my dyno charts in my photo link (sig check). just removing a small Y pipe for a better designed one, smoothing the flow of the exhuast, and adding a 3" elbow DID wonders for my cars power curve, not mention added more power overall.

Man I really cannot wait to start modifying mine now, it seems that every modification done is well worth it someone always has something good to say.
