  • bye bye stock brakes!!

found a great deal on ebay...woohoo

these are made in California by V1 Spec. I found all 4 on Ebay as a package for $130 shipped.

As Navy says below.. I'll have to keep an eye on the holes for cracking.

Also make sure you conduct periodic inspections for cracks around the drilled holes.

BTW, since this is the PRODUCT REVIEW section...what product is it?

the front I can tell right away, but the rear I'm not sure about.. I'd like to get another p-valve and adjust some more pressure to the rear.

I don't think you'll notice much if any difference between the stock rotors and the new ones. More of a bling effect.

I dunno about your setup, but i have too much rear brake even with a wilwood proportioning valve set for the least amount of braking. the rear locks up almost instantly in panic braking, and even on agrressive decel.

Like mike said the cars are really light in the rear.

                looks good though.

i had a set of simliar brakes on my VW from ebay. had them 2 years and never had an issue with them cracking. the minimized brake fade, but its still had some.

Don't forget to break them in properly !!

That sounds like a really good buy! In that we have like 7 cars now and they all need new rotors on 4 corners, where did you find them? Maker / seller / category ? Has anybody else tried these, or have knowledge of quality? Have you tried them out yet?

I did the usual break in procedure at different speeds, etc.. drove it in to work today. found them on Ebay, V1 Spec rotors.. they actually fit on the axle better than the OEM rotors do.

I figured this was a good choice since new OEM ones are just about the same price.

I know I won't see the benefits of the slots and holes unless it's high performacne driving, but they shoudl help with water and heat disapation.
