  • Things to get done before the reunion 08

I know everyone is still under deep freeze, but soon spring shall bring to fruit our winter labors. What is everyone's knock out list before this years reunion? mine never seems to shink...

    the must do:
    • Roll Cage
    • Sub frame connectors
    • Find and fix the oil leak on the backside of the motor
    • Find some shoes

    the would be nice list:
    • Fuel cell and hardlines
    • Megasquirt and enough fuel to feed 350hp

    Come on already.
I just woke up out of my hibernation.

Alex- that's all you need? How about some shoes?

Fine. The count down has begun.

I started to make my parts list again to get the intake done. I need some aluminum tube and another radiator, pump and reservoir. Of course I could get away with what I already have but plastic and ply just don’t look good. Spoiled. I’m just spoiled.

Alex, you need to add "buy some shoes" ... note I didnt say "new shoes" as you first have to own a pair for them to be replaced by NEW ones.

I think WE (you and I) are able to criticize each other about the footwear in our states. I just remember the most of the reunion you working on the car with no shoes on! I think mine came off after a few beers!

Rob - check out ccmarina on ebay. I bought my trailer off him for like $1200. Its new, but considered 'home made' since it has used tires on it. electric brakes on one axle. helluva a deal IMO. He's just west of Nashville IIRC.

                  to do MAKE IT

                  1. get the car dependable enough to drive down
                  2. tune for E85 and make the dyno day
                  3. find out if I can buy E85 along the way
                  <- Got fuel?

good luck. the main reason i haven't planned to go E85, is that there is only 2 stations within 50 miles of Cincinnati that sell it. quick searches on map quest, etc, show no hits for e85 stations within 50 miles of Lexington.

Things being done to my 1984 9w right now.

Build/paint engine then break it in.

Do some suspension work, pan handle bars, shocks.

Get wheels, trying to find Keskin Kt1's in 5 lug but have had no luck.

Repaint (buddy will hook me up with a good price).

There are 2 stations in Jeffersonville, In (across the river from Louisville) and that is just over an hour from Lexington.....on your way if you make the route work for you.

How about "get permission from the wife to go to the reunion again this year". If I can't go, no sense in doing anything else.
My wife says it's a sickness...what do you think?
