it's hard to get anyting that big under a mustang..
the offset will be wrong if they are for the 99-04 mustangs, and they will stick out

you can put an 18x9.5 rear and a 18x8.5 with 35mm offset and not have to modify one thing. you don't even have to remove the quad shocks.
and if you go with a 94-04 wheel set i wouldn't go any larger then a 8.5 wide. and they will fit nice.
those welds you posted are very nice looking wheels. too bad they aren't offered in a better offset.

I have gotten 18X10's UNDER the rear quarter on an SVO and 18X9's up front....It requires expensive modifications though to narrow the mounting track of the car which most people won't go through. I've done 2 cars, my teal SVO and one car for a customer and he has the 18's on his...looks like the car should have come that way!

Generally though it is difficult unless you go through something extensive to change the track.

So what exactly did you do? I have been tossing around the idea of standard fox axles/northracecar brackets/sn95 brakes (to save the SVO parts), but I am open to other ideas except the SVO bracket flip.

it's easy to put 18.10 and 18x9 on an svo? why the extensive and expensive mods required?for 18x10's you only need a 35mm offset wheel and remove the quad shock, fits like factory with a 275-35-18 tire .
and on the front and 18x9 with either a 35 mm or 25 mm offset. if using a 25 offset it should bolt on perfect, may have to use a 1/8" spacer and on the a 35mm offset you mawill have to use at least a 1/4" spacer.
so i don't understand the expensive mods.
basically with the conseption of the 05 mustang new wheels are readily available for the svo. when looking for wheels for an svo just be sure they are the same offset as the 05-08 mustang and they will bolt right one and fit without sticking out.
on a standard fox body mustang with a 5 lug conversion you'd want you use the 94-04 mustang offset.

Because Paul wanted to do it right, instead of having the tires stick out from under the fenders. Look at the pics, you will see they don't stick out like a red-neck ricer.

FYI that's Paul behind the car, and I'm not positive, but that looks like Kerry Brown. (that looks like his hat anyway)

                        SVOeric,

and you're assuming that i didn't do it right? don't assume anything, i did it right and my cars looks just like the svo in the upper pic. my wheels don't stick out past the fenderlips at all.
i'm very insulted at the fact that you would assume i didn't do it right and basically you're calling me a redneck ricer. you don't know anything about me, and before you spout of next time about how i do things, please reconsider.
I'm 38 years old, not some punk kid, i've forgotten more about building cars then most probably know. i've been professionally building race cars and customizing cars for over 20 years now, and it's like a family tradition, i took over my dads business. so it's in my blood i've done it my entire life.
i was very insulted by your comment. do i have to post pics of some of my work?

be insulted all you want. to do it RIGHT, you can't just bolt them on.

A set of sn95 (25mm offset) rims on an SVO, I can tell you exactly what they will look like. fried turd dumplins. -- I've seen it, and done it (and pulled them right back off). they stick out over the fender a good 1+ inches depending on the tire.

if you're 38, and been doing it 20 years, you have about 10 years of catching up to do.

Sure if you go with a custom wheel offset/aftermarket wheel then you can adjust them to fit and remove the quad shock....however most people would like to use an existing wheel style and don't want to remove the quad shocks....I did not have to remove the quads on my car and the 17X9's fit UNDER the fender with tons of clearance...not a chance of rubbing even during a track event.

On the rear I used that setup with SN95 Cobra brakes.....but if you've priced the parts it's not for those on a budget as most SVO owners are. By the time you do the front and rear with wheels and tires it is a significant expense to do the whole job considering some people have that much invested in just the purchase of the entire car.

I don't have pics handy of the car I did with 18's on it but will get some and post them up when I do....it's a local car so I'll get him to come by for some pictures.

I should probably keep my mouth shut as I haven't tried it but he clearly states s197 rims with 35mm offset not sn95 with 25mm offset for the rear.

I just want him to be right so I can fit 10" inchers back there that easy.
