'84 tailpipe install trouble

I just picked up my tailpipe for the SVO from Walker(#45856). Question, how does it hook up at the tip? There is a funky looking bracket welded to the double tip. The SVO has the typical Ford 5/16" rod with a rubber grommet on it. The tailpipe would need the same thing on it. Anybody ever run into this before?

That's the same tailpipe that was stock on my pace car. It had a different hanger from the SVO.

the stock ones have the rod peice and it bolts on to the bracket that is on the tail pipe. it is in the shape of a U. I may have mine still, not sure but if I find it I will let you know

I have the exact same pipe on mine and I just used an existing hole on the frame and ran one of those hangers to that and then to the tip hanger, works great.
