is there a good way to use the search button. When ever i use it i always get hits for things where both words are in posts but not what i am looking for, hence why i don't use search. If someone could help i would find it much more helpful.

Are you using the Advanced Search option?

Looks like Boolean Searches are an option on this board. So as an example, you could search for svo but didn't want to find red ones(sorry Mike), just search for SVO - red and it will exclude red in the searches for SVO.

That could help you narrow down what you are looking for, especially if you exclude red since at least 75% of the posts are about Mike's red car.

Exactly... Search for tagline, which should show this thread, then search for tagline - red and you'll notice the thread has been excluded.

I suppose if you wanted to show up on a lot of the searches, update your tagline to include all of the common keywords, like people do on ebay

          How to Search

hopefully I'm not stepping on any toes here, but I sent this to the staff a while back and got no reply.. maybe this could help someone with the search feature. I'll just copy/paste it here.. if it helps then great. I wrote this for another forum so disregard some of the search terms used. Otherwise it applies to VB.
