What a great guy and what great service. I finally got tired of my t3/t4 with the .48AR stage 1 turbine wheel bottle neck. so I had Charlie build me a custom turbo from Ebay/turboford used parts and one of the cores I had laying around here. He discovered lots of "junk" I had been assured was "just fine" (mostly purchased from TF) and Chinese and Brasilian parts I had been assured were Garrett. he gave me a great deal on the parts I needed to put this together and did hours of machining that he didn't charge me for. I can't see how he made any money off of me at all.

Ultimately I ended up with a T3/T40B U-Trim with a .63AR stage 3 turbine and a nicely ported inlet (SVO housing). It also has the 360* thrust bearing and a water cooled housing for longevity. This thing looks like a brand new turbo (and a sleeper since it still looks like a stock T3).

you know the old saying, you can't make everyone happy... Well Charlie @ Evergreen seems breaks that rule! He is just the best!

Charlie should be getting my holset in the mail today! Cant wait to see what magic he works on it with the members discount, he was almost half as much as the cheapest local rebuilder. With all the positive reviews, and speaking to him on the phone, I trust him 100x then any one else ive got a quote for a rebuild from.

That's about the same thing mine is from him, except he sent it with a polished compressor scroll

I had Charlie set me up not too long ago. The turbo runs great, performs as advertised and Charlie is great to work with. I’ve worked for Garrett for 30 years and none of my questions for Charlie ever stumped him. He is thoroughly knowledgeable and has a lot of great ideas. Even though I work for Garrett, I can’t get any parts or work done so I will gladly continue to send all of my Turbo’s to the opposite side of the country to evergreen.
