  • Craftsman Flex Socket for Distributor Hold Down

For you guys adjusting your timing, I picked up a Craftsman 17MM Flex socket from Sears(Ret $8.49) and it went right on and no interference issues with the distributor. Didn't even have to unhook the PCV valve or the hoses. Took seconds and was able to set the timing accordingly.

Good tip Richie - that dang dist. bolt can be a PITA.

There was a guy selling a 8mm hex welded to the distributor bolt some time back. It was the slickest piece I've seen in a while. I'm just mad I sold it with my last car, cause I can't find it anymore.

Yup. I bought the Hex bolt and T-handle setup from Clay Autery years ago and it's much easier.

        I miss that guy..
The BATFE should be a convenience store.

I just changed mine to a 13mm headed bolt... that works so much easier than that big 17....
