I'm about ready for a new clutch kit in the 1E

I havn't even looked at clutches in 4-5 years, and I knowthere is new stuff out there.

car is 90% street, 9% auto-x and 1% drag duty.
I'm not afraid of a stiff pedal, but I don't want to be ripping out my plastic quadrant because of it (1E still has the stock quadrant)

This car won't see over 275 hp (330 torque)
I'd like to hear what you guys have used, and been happy, and unhappy with.
    Thanks!

SPec stg 3 here. its grabby but not stiff on the leg. Mine held more than the advertised 425 Fly trq. no complaints here.

I have a spec 3+ and am happy with it, probably over kill in your car tho. If you go with a spec defidently go higher than a 1, got one of them in the TC it occasionally slips and I only run 10 psi .

FYI, when I bought my 3+ the guy I order from tolled me that the stage 1 to 3+ all use the same pressure plat and the only difference is the clutch disc.

There's this husband and wife outfit that you probably never heard of, Eric. Hanlon sells RAM clutches.

Spec stage 3, definatly not too much pedal effort. I think its close to the same price or maybe the same as the stage 2? so why not. I also think it will work great for a dd too IMO.
60% of the time it works every time

That is the way I went. SVOPaul recommended them over SPEC because he was having consistant problems with the ones he was getting.
Now before every SPEC owner lights a torch and proceeds towards the lynching, I went with a vendor's advice due to the amount of different vendors he uses in his work.
If I were to go with a SPEC it would have been the stage II+ because it has more clamping force that the II with lighter pedal effort than a III.

I did the same thing as Kurt and got a Spec II+. I also have had great luck with a clutch I got from PyroPete over on TF at about the same time. Its been a very good clutch. I got the Spec from Art. I tried the Pyropete clutch because Spec was having some quality control issues with their clutch, especially the throwout bearing. I haven't had any problem with mine thou.

Ty, you still running your stock quadrant ?
How's the engagment? is it grabby/ like a on/off switch?

I've got a 8-puck kevlar in there right now, and it feels like a switch...
