Has anyone used this? It is posted on late model restoration website. It looks a lot like a modern day G-tech. Does anyone on the board have an iPhone or iPod Touch, and willing to try this out? I would be interested to know how good it is...then I can tell my wife that an iPod touch is a tool I need for the car, not just for music

I Phone is a tool!! I find that having my music avail to play via my car is the least option (car has Radio and CD changer)Originally posted by BlueCASVO View PostDoes anyone on the board have an iPhone or iPod Touch, and willing to try this out? Between being able to access the internet anywhere, use GPS for various functions AND how organized one is (with contact, links and scheduals) I don't think I can go back to a "phone"!
NOTE as a phone it works best (actually only well) IF you use Bluetooth.
Speaker and MIC are so close without Bluetooth you have to turn and cue like a walkie talkie. So low marks for phone-I tend to use Speaker or Bluetooth.
I no longer carry a camera, NEVER miss an EBAY auction ending AND made my NASCAR picks in a field while listening to a Pink FLoyd Tribute band!! (The Machine)

P.S. IF you ever get the chance to see The Machine don't miss them!Mark

I saw this software used with an Iphone on the Speed channel on one of the buildup shows..they compared it to one of those other dash mounted dyno things and an actual chassis dyno. the iphone was actually very accurate and compared to the track time was spot on. I don't have an iphone, but if I did this would be something I'd get for sure.

Same app for Blackberry Storm
Turns out that Dynolicious makes the same app for Blackberry Storm now, which I own for work. Downloading it now, and since I drove the 86 to work today, I might be able to try it out on the way home! I can at least do a 0-60, maybe a quarter mile on the Pacific Highway/I-5 on-ramp, if traffic is light. Prb won't do the lateral skid pad test, pulling a full 360 in rush hour probably won't happen.
Then again, it is San Diego drivers, so who knows!65 FB GT, 67 FB GT, 85 1B, 86 1C, 08 EVO X MR

This is the first time I have ever heard of this app! I'm actually at the hostipal on my iPhone waiting for my 2nd child to enter this world:-) but I just bought the app and will try it out as soon as I have a chance, and I will post up the results later on.

I got it on my Storm on Thursday, tried it out on a freeway onramp. I had to let off before a quarter mile went by, but it seems to be pretty accurate - it estimated 196hp at flywheel, 0-60 in 6.9 seconds, etc, for my bone stock 1C. There are a couple of guys that have used them on the track that have posted on the dynolicious website, they say that it is never off more than 0.04 60 foot, 1/8, and 1/4 mile times, and never off more than .3 mph... not bad for $13. I think the ipod is supposed to be more accurate than the storm, the ipod is supposed to be more sensitive.
I am going to try to get to the Qualcomm parking lot the next time they have Friday night races, so I can check it out in a controlled environment. It also has a skidpad function, which I can check out there as well.
Supposedly you can export the graphs, if I can figure it out I will post them.65 FB GT, 67 FB GT, 85 1B, 86 1C, 08 EVO X MR
