i don't really care for the stock SVO wing... i don't want people to flame on me, but i think it would look killer with a saleen wing on the back. my stock wing is fine, and i'd probobly just keep it somewhere safe or sell it to someone looking to restore their SVO. what do you guys think? i've seen a picture of an SVO with a saleen wing and it looked awesome. i've posted a picture of my current stock SVO wing.

Saleen wing
GoTurbo,
I agree with you that the SVO with the saleen wing looked real nice. Just remember that if you change spoilers, you will have a couple of large holes in your hatch to fill where the upper wing is attached.
I bought my SVO and the guy had removed both spoilers and left the holes open. Now I need a new hatch. the rust bug is eating it away.Mike S

Spoilers...
It might be overkill but I thought a lower saleen unit with the svo upper would be just -too- cool, imho
GoTurbo:
If I were you and you want to do the saleen unit, go out and get a 87-93 GT hatch, as it will already have the correct mounting pattern (I just went through this same thing on my LX 5.0). I would keep the stock hatch and spoiler and store it for future use, or future owner if for some sad reason you'd have to sell it.
Trying to fill all the holes on an LX (or SVO) hatch is a nightmare. It can be done but far too laborious went you can get a hatch from a wrecking yard for $70.

Holes in the hatch...
This is alittle off subject but when I did a 93 Cobra body kit conversion on my 90 LX 5.0 I used a plain old 4 cylinder LX hatch with no holes / spoiler. They can be found for real cheap. Just check / pull the rubber plugs to check for rust. Also I don't think you can mate the Saleen directly to the SVO upper as the SVO butts directly together and the body screw(s) pass through both spoilers.

If your car is in good shape (and it looks to be), keep the stock wing for the next owner. They will almost surely want it, and it will help you sell the car. And if you ever decide you want the stock one back, the prices may be even more ridiculous than they are now.'86 running MegaSquirt

WHEN I BOUGHT MY SVO IT HAD A SALEEN SPOILER ON IT,BUT IT WAS NOT MOUNTED ON THE ORIGINAL HATCH.I GOT LUCKY AND TRACKED DOWN THE ORIGINAL WITH THE BOTTOM SPOILER STILL THERE BUT THE TOP ONE WAS MISSING. I SWITCHED IT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL AND TRADED THE OTHER HATCH FOR TWO RECARO SEATS FOR MY 82 GT, KINDA WISH I KEPT BOTH PIECES,THE SALEEN LOOK DID LOOK PRETTY COOL. I AGREE W/AT6svo,USE A DIFFERENT HATCH & SAVE THE ORIGINAL.LOL
