I'm probably going to rebuild the 7.5 in the green car. Any advice? Stick with clutch style or go with auburn cone style?

Kendal is correct, my buddy's 84 1/2 GT had a cone-type diff in it that I ran for years in my old 80 Mustang when he upgraded to an 8.8". When I got it I had a driveline shop re-dress the cone and cup to freshen it up a bit. Worked like a champ, but then again that was a 140hp, 2600lb car too.Ted

I believe the Spicer, cone-style diff. was only available in the early 84's and I'm not clear why some cars had it and others got the clutch-style. However, I think all of the 85 and later cars got the clutch-style limited slip diff.s.My wife says it's a sickness...what do you think?

Go with a regular Trac-Lock. I have an Auburn Pro in my Cobra II and it only spins both tires if you're going in a straight line. I asked a local Mustang shop that has done just about everything, and they even said to stick with the Trac-Lock, that they've had the least amount of problems with them.86 SVO, 69 AMX, 91 SHO, 91 Bronco
