The last one is mine that died twice Thursday morning. I had to take my truck in its place (08' Blue Ranger). I think you can almost say there is something in common with these pictures.

Yup. Two red cars locked up the front brakes on the way back to the hotel from Dyno day. They were Laredo's and Rob's car that I was driving.
Raven's red car got a replacement turbo (Provided by John Basler) with major contributions by Meotchh and Dragpak. They got the job done despite assistance from myself and Mike Fleming. The car proceeded on to burn of 10k miles worth of rubber in Sunday's autocross without a puff of smoke from the exhaust.

You, the least sober of anyone in that county that night, were the first to notice the intercooler was installed before the spark plug wires were installed
.
Mike was also helpful in lending me his shirt to wipe the antiseize off my hands, Thanks Mike
!
I do believe red was a bad color for that weekend.
Lets not forget Laredo also had brake problems on the way home. Then Dragpack had one helluva long trip back to Indiana, again a red car.
Chalky is lucky he didn't paint his car red.

True, red was a bad color to have this weekend.

I would have to agree that red was a bad omen. Got half way through Indiana and the OTHER caliper seized up - should have replaced both of them Saturday night instead of just the left side.
But then....about 30 miles from home it starts getting a bit chilly as the temps drop into the 40s, flip on the heat and get instant slimy fog on the windshield - heater core.
It's a good thing that working on these cars is half the fun of owning them. Right? Right??"If there's no plan, what can go wrong...?"

Glad to hear that my donated intercooler hoses from the TC IC worked on Raven's ride. The lower hose was a little larger, but an extra twist on the hose clamp sinched it up.Ted

Thanks, we were trying to remember who donated those
.
Thanks again to all those that helped Tony & me get that thing running for the auto-X. We couldn't have got it back together without the helping hands, tools, drunken suggestions, & of coarse the commentary that lightened the mood throughout the night.

Ted! The missing piece of the puzzle! I've been racking my brain and flooding the net with requests for all the donations to the late night turbo project. The hose contribution were one of the last elusive items I had not run down. Many THANKS for the hoses. Since we did not have the turbo compressor clocked just right the hose worked out perfect! Many, many thanks for the assistance!Originally posted by svono50 View PostGlad to hear that my donated intercooler hoses from the TC IC worked on Raven's ride.
