Axle Interchangeability

I've searched and found the old Mark VIII's used the same axles. Do the Early-Mid '80's Continentals as well?? Figured since Ford used the old parts bin from the Conti's for the rear disc setup. Can anyone verify to be sure? Thanks.

The svo suspenension was based on the 83 continental. Should be Mark VII instead of Mark VIII.
