  • Door Data tag

    Hello all this subject popped up in another thread and I thought I would share it here in the product reviews

    I purchased this from http://martiauto.com phone 623-935-2558

    it is an "officially licenced product" and it turned out great
    I needed to send him a few pictures of my original and a drawn copy showing the exact details ( numbers etc...)
    It is a very nice way to finish off a new paint job
    Oh yeah it cost 35 dollars

    Looks great! My 85.5 is in the paint booth today and I will need a new door tag soon.

    How long did it take to get your door tag?

        Will he do a group deal for members if we get enough to commit?

          I received one a few years back from him for my Mach 1. A little different sticker but the quality was just as good.

            There has been alot of talk about Kevin Marti lately...for those that don't know the service provided;
            Kevin Marti Autoworks is a manufacturer of concourse correct (kind of) Ford hoses, cables and plug wires (Autolite).
            He expanded into the car database YEARS ago-taking time to input all the old IBM 360 system physical cards to now offer the famed "Marti Report in 3 variations for 1968 and latter cars.
            Under license from Ford and with the blessings of (Late) Lois Emmiger he also provides door invoices (originals) for the earlier Thunderbirds and Mustangs.
            Kevin runs a small but productive shop in AZ producing a product (the reports) that started as "maybe we can sell these" into a multimillion dollar enterprise.
            NOTE: When Ebay arrived to sell cars-every Mustang that was listed had the potental for bidders to want a Marti report $35.00 + $5 to fax at once to know they were buying what sellers were pushing! In the case of some rare cars over 20 for each car were being sold per day during the auction!

            Kevin with wife are great people-he really knows his cars. LOVES unrestored Mustangs (actually Cougars) and is a Boss 351 owner - still I think. I have been to Suprise a few times and he produced some very nice documents for my 1969 Super Cobra Jet car. While I don't agree with the value of making every car a "one of one" (due to it being the only one with bumperguards and a green interior) he has elevated the value of Mustangs across the board!
            Something that eluded us compared to Chevy and Mopar prices.
