Does the serial number on engine block match the vin number in part. what im getting at is im trying to see if engine matches the car.

And if it doesn't match your SVOs VIN please post up what you find so we can check the registry to see if it came from a previously registered car.

Ford Builder, your block will be stamped farther down on a flat spot just above the starter.

Looks like E1 2001 3 Its bearly legiable on the boss wear the water supply tube is. Had to use Magnafineglass And used triple 000 steel so,s not to remove to much of the stampings.

Your F3ZE portion shows at least a 1993 part number....F3 shows 93 while an E3 would show 83 and a C3 would be 63. Not sure where you got that number from but as stated prior the last 6 of the VIN would be stamped on the side of the block.

I think he has this:

RF 3ZE 6015 DA

Which is a standard casting # for our 2.3 turbo engine blocks.

The stamp is just to the left of the oil return line. On the stamped pad - yours should have this:

FF159594

F = 1985
F = Dearborn assembly plant
159594 = last six #'s of VIN (59,594st 1985 Mustang assiged a VIN at Dearborn Assembly Plant)

If you have another # on this pad, let me know and I will try to find out what it is.
