  • Gearing on an '84 T-5

Ok, I've tried finding any info on this but can't seem to, I'm looking to see what gears are in my tranny and wether the T-5 that was in my car is a WC or not, on the page http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/T5ID.htm
it dosnt list the 84's so I'm not sure what they are. I will assume off the bat that it's not a WC due to the year, but I'm about to get it rebuilt and looking for all the info I can on this one. If it will help, here's the tag:

    E4ZX-7003-AA

    13-52-067 15138

The numbers to reference are the 1352-xxx to identify the T5. In your case, the 067 crosses to a Ford 1984 SVO W/Hurst 2.3 EFI TC

This is not a world class T5. Gear ratio is the same as the 114 unit. See specs here:

If the number on the trans case matches the VIN#, you have the original trans in the car. Here are the 84 ratios, as found in the SVOCA home page fact sheet:

      1st 4.03
      2nd 2.37
      3rd 1.50
      4th 1.00
      5th .86

It's stamped in to the cast plate between the tailshaft housing and the main housing.
