As some of you may know, my friends Scott & Lois Robinson from Snohomish, WA bought Laredo's 85 2R last year. The plan was to get the car painted and back on the road in time for this years Bellevue Roundup. With a lot of help from myself, Schoolboy, his brother Nolan, Mitch and Lisa, my Dad and Sada the Wonder Tailight Masker, we did.
The strip-down started earlier this year and Scott slowly worked through some of the parts. All exterior panels except the door were removed and all the trim was removed for paint as well. Neslon and I spent a week or so in initial re-assembly, which entailed re-wrapping every harness in the engine bay, the battery had exploded in a crash some years before, and then we all got together the follwing weekend for almost final assembly. This involved bead blasting and painting most every bolt bracket and thingy in sight. Suffice to Say Nelson has his blasting skills DOWN!!
Well, I'm happy to say, we finished the car at 11pm Thursday night and drove it 300 odd miles from Seattle to Yakima and back on this years Pony Trails and a 4th in the SVO class at this years People's Choise Awards.
Here's some pics.

. You have seen the work on Chalky's & that was about 2 weeks (correct me if I'm wrong Chalky) from tear down to reassembly. He is very critical of his own work, but Scott's 85 looks sweet.
